Kia Ora,
Today I learnt the New Zealand’s Sign Language. I can now sign my own name. Can you sign yours?
I made a copy of the NZSL alphabet and letter matching slides. Here it is.

Hello Mark! Patrick here.
Wowzers! You have done a very good job with your kiwi sign language alphabet match. I am proud that you can now sign your own name. I can too!
What other words can you sign in New Zealand sign language?
Goodbye and have a good holiday!
Ka Pai!
Patrick
Kia ora Mark,
My name is Theresa and I am one of the Summer Learning Journal commenters.
Thank you for sharing your NZ sign language task. You mentioned being able to sign your own name now – it would be great if you added a video of that. I’d love to see it. I haven’t tried signing my name before but after reading your blog I thought I would have a go at it. Very slowly I am getting it 🙂 thank you for inspiring me to try that.
Do you use sign language at school or at home? I only use it a little. At my school we have a few songs we do in sign language and with my son when we are watching a show called Emma Memma.
Ngā mihi
Theresa
