Nano Girl’s Anti – gravity machine – SLJ 2022-2023 – Blog Number 32

Kia Ora,

Today I did another one of Nano Girl’s activity. It is called anti – gravity machine. You will need

  • 1 see through glass. I used a jam jar.
  • 1 flat card

Here is the video of me doing the experiment.

Gravity is pulling the water down and air pressure is pushing the card up. The both are equal, the water and card stay where they are!

Did you think that water will splash out?

Obstacle Course Chaos – SLJ 2022-2023 – Blog Number 31

Kia Ora,

Today I did a 6.7 km obstacle course through the streets of Auckland. The streets were full of chaos with road works, traffic, cones and barriers. There were also fire engines speeding down the street with sirens and horns. The busses were so near to me at the traffic lights. This blog post is about me doing the obstacle course with chaos where I walked for  almost 6 hours. Here is the screenshot of my walk. I started walking from from daddy’s office at No. 1 New North Road, Eden Terrace, Auckland 1021 to Commercial Bay, 7 Queen Street, Auckland CBD, Auckland 1010 and to my destination at Westfield Newmarket, 277 Broadway, Newmarket, Auckland 1023.

Recycled Race Car – 2022-2023- Kick Start – Blog Number 28

Kia Ora,

Today I made a race car using recycled materials. I used mineral/plastic water bottle, tape, marker pens/colour pencils, toilet roll and cardboard. Steve from Minecraft drives it. It has a special screen for Steve to type in the instructions and shoots out flames when it moves. What do you think I can add to my race car?
