I am doing Activity 2 for the Winter Learning Journey.

What is Activity 2 about?

Activity 2 is about taking a photo of yourself and label of what you are wearing and put it on a google drawing.

Why did you pick Activity 2?

I picked Activity 2 because I  am in hot and sunny  Malaysia and  all  my winter  clothes are in Christchurch. The daily temperature  here is above  32 degrees Celsius and it is less then 5 degrees  Celsius in Christchurch.

What do you wear in this weather?

A  light and colourful t-shirt and my soft white long pants.

On this blog I’am doing Activity 1 for the Winter Learning Journey.

What is Activity 1 about?

Activity 1 is about thinking of 5 activities to do over the Matariki Holiday and putting it on a google slide. Please check out my slides for these fun activities.

During the Matariki holidays we can:

1.Sing the Matariki song and dance the Matariki dance

2. Watch the Matariki movie

3. Make the Matariki Star

4.Play the Matariki Game

Why did you pick activity 1?

I picked Activity 1 because it looked like  a lot of fun to do.

Yesterday.

Was it a lot of fun to do?

Yes, I had a lot of fun while doing it.

What activity are you going to do next?

I haven’t thought about it yet.

On this blog I am doing my Winter Learning Journey 2023. This will be my first activity.

Which activity are you doing?

Number 3-pick a warm place to travel to.

Why did you pick number 3?

I picked number 3 because I found it really interesting to do and I have travelled to a warm place recently and I am still here in sunny Malaysia.

What is activity number 3 about?

Activity Number 3 is about finding a warm place to stay and to find 3 activities to do there and I have to put  it in a brochure.

What is the warm place that you pick?

For the warm place I picked Malaysia.

Why did you pick Malaysia?

I picked Malaysia because if you have not been to Malaysia, there is a lot more people than New Zealand and there’s a lot of fun things to do there.

Hello all again,

When was  your Grandma’s birthday party? Saturday 1 July 2023.

Did you say grace and prayer?: Yes, in front of everyone.

Did you enjoy it?: Yes, a lot.

Who went to your Grandma’s birthday party?: So many aunties,uncles and cousins.

Where did you have your Grandma’s birthday at?: Magic Wok Restaurant.

Where can I find the Magic Wok Restaurant?: Link 

What did you eat?: A lot of amazing food.

How old is your Grandma now?: 85 Year old.

What time did the party start and end?  It started at 6:00 p.m. and finished at 10:00 p.m.

Hello all,

How many flights did you take to get to Malaysia?: I took 3 flights in 26 hours.

Why 3 flights?: 3 flights because

1. From Christchurch to Auckland,

2. From Auckland to Singapore and

3. From Singapore to Malaysia.

Was the flights fun?: Yes, it was a lot of fun. The on flight entertainment was awesome.  I got to watch as many movies and play as many games as I liked.

How long did the flights take?: The 1st flight was 1.5 hours, the 2nd flight took 10.5 hours and the 3rd flight took 1 hour.

Who was with you?: My mum,my dad and my brother.

Which flight did you like the most and why?: I really liked the 3rd flight because it had in flight entertainment and we can order any snacks and drinks.

What do you miss most in Malaysia and why?: My family because they care and love me a lot and they feed me everyday.

Do you miss your old school in Malaysia?: Yes, because I have a lot of memories in my old school and I have a lot of kind friends.

This week in reading I read a text called Sea Devil.

It was about internment camp.

Question-What did you do for reading?

Hello everyone,

Today I made my own template on Wind Chimes.

What is Wind Chimes  all about?:  Set in the future, in which children from “regions” are taken from their homes and forced to live away from their parents. The children are trained to think alike and act submissively, with any sign of creativity or dissent quickly “hushed”.

Question: Who was your favourite character in Wind  Chimes?

Over the course of term one we have looked at the question: How can we help build a resilient community? We are using something called The Resilience Project to understand simple tricks to make our lives better.

I have learnt that the g.e.m is very important in life because you might need it sometimes. G=Gratitude, E=Empathy & M=Mindfulness.

The whole school had a showcase evening to look at all the students’ creations and learn more about The Resilience Project.

Here is an invite I made:

For the showcase evening I worked with Ayman because he is always hard working. 

We decided to create bookmarks because the parents can keep it for their family to remind them of GEM. 

Here is my final creation:

 I now know more about what g.e.m is and how I can use it in my life to be happier.

Throughout the creating process I feel like I did  really well. I could have been better at not being late for school.

If I was to do this again, next time I would try even harder.

Today I did Technobalde  for reading.

How is technoblade a leader: He a leader because he lift up so many children and adult’s hearts by showing act’s of kindness

What was act of kindness that technoblade show: he show act of kindness by helping the poor and lift up people heart’s.

Who is he: Technoblade is a Minecraft player and well known for his Youtube Minecraft videos. Known as one of the best player of all times. And his home in Minecraft is amazing 

 

When he was born: 1 June 1999

 

When he died : June 2022. He died of cancer. A great loss to this world.

 

His pets in minecraft and in real life: Floof the dog Floof was a wolf. His horse in Minecraft is Carl.

 

His Dad : Mr. Blade.
